JEM Flex Fuel Conversions

We have been converting cars E85 for a few years now, with very impressive results. The main advantages to running E85 are the horsepower gains due to the higher oxygen content, higher octane allowing us to run more boost without any detonation, and the price of the fuel is far cheaper than race fuel, hence why it is becoming more and more popular.
Caltex is now selling BIO E-FLEX at the bowser at selected stations, which is rated at 70-85% ethanol, which the % variance is apparently supposed to change with season, however we have been testing its ethanol content over the passed 12 months and all our tests showed % between 70 and 73% ethanol content.
Since theres more than one type of ethanol fuel available from here on i refer to them all as E.
Converting a car to E usually means upgrading injectors, fuel pump, making sure the existing fuel lines and filter is suitable, and remapping the ecu to suit.
One of the main disadvantages to running E is supply and availability. If your car has been setup and tuned for E, then you must have encountered a time when Rozelle was out fuel, or it was a huge PITA to buy the barrell. If you're driving to wakefield with 200L of E on board, you may not have enough E to drive home on, or you want to go on that big cruise but you might run out of E!
to be continued....

Why do turbo engines need to run on PULP 98 ron? Why cant you run ULP 92ron in your turbo engine? Have you tried running your turbo engine on ULP? If so how did it go? If not then dont try it!
What are the benefits of running my engine on a higher ron fuel?
