Frank's RB25DET powered EH Holden got a few upgrades on its recent visit.
With a stock bottom end its putting out a solid 380rwkw.
Franks not one to cut corners, and he wants the job done right, so since we were converting the EH into a capable "Flex Fuel" car, ie able to run on ethanol, we needed to revise the fuel system. We ripped out the whole setup and started fresh with a new custom fuel system. Included fuel tank, surge tank, pre pump, twin 044, braided lines front to back, fuel gauge sender, twin entry fuel rail, fuel pressure regulator with gauge, injectors, ethanol content analyser.
Now we had enough fuel to support 500rwkw so we made a few changes to the stock RB25DET engine. Off came the head for a full service, Tomei cam and spring upgrade retaining vct and adjustable exhaust cam gear, metal head gasket with head studs, and a Plazmaman Intake plenum.
On the electronics side of things the EH already had a Haltech E11v2 and we were planning to make this car a "JEM Flex Fuel Car", so we installed a Zeitronix Wideband afr kit and ethanol content analyser and setup the e11v2 for closed loop fuel control, unfortunately we found the limits of the e11v2 and werent able to make it a flex car so we settled for dual mapping, so he can conveniently flick the switch from a 98 tune to a Caltex E-Flex tune.
Dont be cheeky to this EH cos he'll smoke ya!
