Gavin brought his completely stock FG XR6T auto to JEM for more power, after the doing the "JEM FG Stage 1 Package", he rolled out with an easy 308rwkw. After one outing to WSID and a 11 second pass the power bug struck.
The HKS T51R KAI was the turbo of choice because of its power potential and ball bearing response and don't forget the famous HKS turbo whistle.
With plans for big power down the track we decided the HKS T51R was the perfect match for the 4.0ltr 6 cylinder.
We mounted the HKS T51R on a custom steam pipe manifold with a HKS GT II 60mm wastegate controlling boost. 3.5" custom dump pipe to a high flow cat to the factory ford rear exhaust system for stealthy silence on cruise.
The Plazmaman 1000hp front mount intercooler kit was also installed to keep intake temps in check, alloy header tank and battery relocation.
The vehicles engine is still totally factory with upgraded fuel injectors. Adam tuned the stock ECU to suit the new setup, but the stock fuel pump maxxed out, max power recorded was 369rwkw @ a low 15psi boost. We knocked the power down after that as we didnt want to let it go running on a maxxed pump.
Next upgrade will be a nice fuel system to support 400+rwkw on 98ron, CANT WAIT!!!
